"At the entrance to our plot, there is a large oak tree, one hundred years old. Its roots and those of our vines share the same soil, this limestone and mineral soil, typical of Saint-Jean-de-Minervois. Over time, this oak has become the symbolic guardian. Working organically since 1990, we produce here, at the foot of the Montagne Noire, a sweet natural wine that is both tasty and balanced: Chemin du Chêne." (DOMAINE DE MONTAHUC)

TERROIR
Situated at the extreme north-eastern limit of the "Minervois" appellation, at the foot of the Montagne Noire, the Muscat de Saint-Jean-de-Minervois appellation produces only Vins Doux Naturels. Our vines are located on a plateau of lacustrine limestone, very stony, between 280 and 300 metres in altitude.
WINE MAKING
The vines are more than 15 years old and are goblet pruned. No irrigation. The vinification is carried out with indigenous yeasts at very low temperature and the wine is aged in stainless steel tanks for about 6 months.
TASTING
A beautiful pale yellow colour with golden highlights and a seductive nose of white flowers and exotic fruits. Lively on the attack, the mouth is supple, honeyed and full of freshness. A delicious and well-balanced Muscat de montagne!
